Reflections On Turning 30 Years Old

30 Yrs old

I am turning 30 years old! How exciting! I know a lot of people dread turning 30 years old, however I am so thankful because I know that with every year, I become more wise and more able to contribute back to society. I have already enjoyed my younger years and I look forward to being older every year because it brings new adventures, achievements and experiences. What is the point of looking back when you have already enjoyed them?

Here are my life and career reflections on turning 30 years old. I realized that that principles that I have learned while growing up is completely different.

1) When I was growing up, all I wanted was to be rich and do whatever things I enjoy. Only within this year, I realized that there is much more joy in giving away what you have. Of course, in becoming wealthy, you will inspire people to take action and live their true abundance. That is also the reason why I am taking so much action in growing my business to hit the million dollar mark because I know in achieving that, many people will start to believe that they can do it too. I am an ordinary person who took massive and inspired action. If I can do it, so can you do it.

The benefits of being wealthy is also that you have the funds to help charities that connects to you emotionally. I have committed to helping Pathway to Potential and The Branch Foundation. In fact, in committing to them, I have created a bigger why I must succeed. Isn’t that exciting?

–> Tip: Commit in giving back to society and the universe (or God) will bless you back double. When your intention is to help the community, expect to see doors open for you magically. Even when you hit a setback, take it as a lesson to improve for the future.

2) In the past, I used to prefer being slow and steady. Taking one step at one time, slowly climbing up the ladder. Now, I think of leaps because I know the impossible can be achieved if you face your fears and be mentored by someone who has already been there.

I remembered when I was in University and I saw Adam Khoo presenting on stage. I really admired him and secretly wished that I could speak on stage. However I had a massive fear of public speaking and had no idea on what to present. Fast forward 10 years later, I am teaching people on how to build businesses online and really enjoying my work. I know it is my life mission and enjoy every single minute of it.

Tip –> Never belittle yourself. You can achieve whatever you want. Always make decisions from where you want to be, not from where you are now. And allow yourself to think big because when you do, magical things happen. You are much more powerful than you can imagine.

3) All I wanted to be was a Multinational Director. When I was growing up, my parents always told me that I must become a MNC director and that was my life. I did work in fantastic companies like Siemens and Toshiba, however I always felt restless after a while. After launching my own businesses, I realize that everyone can own a business that they love and enjoy. It is possible with the power of the internet. You can start small with an online presence and move on to building it bigger when you have more funds. Everyone can build a business with their own passion. You do not have to fit into the typical mould of the Singaporean lifestyle.

If your main purpose in life is to be happy, why not start something small on the side till it grows till something big?

Tip –> Make a decision to do something that you love, instead of resigning yourself to fate. Staying in your comfort zone can cost you more than moving out of it. Take a tiny step and keep taking baby steps till you realize that you have hit your final goal!

I am spending a moment to thank everyone for being part of my life because you have inspired, motivated and encouraged me. And I look forward to meeting or learning from you all in the future. Sending you lots of love and blessings. And here is to a great party tonight!
