Marrakesh – One Of My Best Holidays

oldest school

When I booked my plane ticket to Marrakesh, I was so excited that I could barely sit still. I simply adore Moroccan decor and finally coming into the land made it even more surreal.

Some of the highlights of my trip:

  • Meeting and really getting to know the Arabians in a conservative society. They are really helpful and friendly and honest. They are very aggressive in touting but it is mainly for survival. I have seen one guy really go all lengths to help a wheelchair bound guy. I was so impressed with his kindness
  • They are a super tight community and will go all lengths to help each other.
  • They are a hardworking bunch of people, the local craftsmen who work endlessly to create products for their customers. Even though their lunch is 3 hours long. :) It was being brought back to the 1960s, where no MNCs existed and no economies of scales occurred.

In fact, my perspective of the conservative Arabians completely changed from this trip. I would even dare call it one of my best trips as I really enjoy watching the people and changing my perspectives about them.

In fact, I could relate this to my business. In the past, I always kept to internet marketing and avoided social media. I figured that I am anĀ  internet marketer, focused on targeted keywords. However, since I started reading up about it, I realized the potential of the social media market. Likewise, if I chose to keep within my comfort zone, I would not learned about the possibilities of this new massive market. In fact, stay tuned to watch me implement what I have learned from the books that I bought.

For your own, I recommend reviewing 2009 and selecting one or two activities to challenge your comfort zone or perspectives. Challenge it, be it business or personal and prepare to embrace the unknown. With this, you will never know what benefits lies in front of you. Tell me about your personal experiences too….
