Justin was a nobody yet Scooter Braun believed in his potential and pursued him. When he got started, all music labels rejected him. He continued till he got some results.

In business, you have follow your gut instincts because it is one of the most powerful tools. However, it is also not jumping and throwing everything in your first business project because you feel that it worked. You need to try a sample before jumping head-on. Ideally, good mass responses is the best indication.

2) Build credibility

They had a tough time marketing Justin Bieber initially because he had no credibility. Scooter Braun then decide to approach Usher to become his endorser and with Usher backing Justin, they convinced a music label to recruit him.

In business, there are usually 10,000 small companies vying for the customers, slashing prices and positioning themselves usually in the same message. How do you stand out? The best way is to get endorsed by an authority and build platform. With no platform, your business growth is limited because it takes a long time before people believe in your ability to deliver.

Identify on who can endorse you to become more credible and work slowly to align yourself with specific associations or people.

2) Research on people / companies who are doing well in it

Now, you know your passion, the next question is how can I make money from it? The easiest way is to check out people who are making money from it.

Steps:

- Go to Google.com and type these words:

– <passion> home course, <passion> lessons, <passion> tips. E.g. Flower arrangement lessons if you love flower arrangements.

Once you identify people who are making money from your passions. Notice these steps:

- how are they making money?

- how much money are they making?

- Go to Google Keywords External Keyword Tool to check the monthly demand for your product or service searches

With this, you have an idea on people making money from your passions, how they are making money and the possible income you can earn if you launch a business in it.

3) Write down the steps needed and work backwards

Now, the question is how quickly do you want to succeed? Do you want to succeed fast or slowly? If fast (I hope that you are saying fast ), you have to be realistic about where you are now and where you need to work towards.

Take a piece of paper, draw a line in the middle. Write ” Where I am now” on the left side and “Where I am going to be” on the right side. Be honest and evaluate yourself critically. Take your time to complete this.

When it is done, notice the gap between the now and where you want to be. Make an effort to fill the gap through these ways:

• Learn from an expert doing it
• Borrow books or buy products to improve
• Get started doing a tiny step of it to familiarize yourself

It’s nearing Chinese New Year and my team is slowly shifting gears to prepare for 2012. It started lazy with a slow warm up. With the activities filling our schedules, 2012 is going to be a roaring dragon year for us. 2011 was a warm up and 2012 is time for us to get really serious and move into massive growth. I love the energy of a new year, full of possibilities and dreams. Its the time to map out your annual goals and dreams and see them actualize into reality. In fact, I strongly believe everyone should start their year with hope and belief. And these are the three main reasons why.

1) We are all here to grow and progress

Too many people spend too much time wondering what their life purpose is and eventually paralyzes themselves in the journey. 2011 has flew past our eyes within a very short time. It has definitely for me. How has your year been? Has it been an amazing year for you? Or are you feeling frustrated and upset that another year has flown past?

For me, it has been an amazing year of ups and down and massive breakthroughs. I set the intention of hitting one million in 2011 and I am happy to say that we are very near it, nearly $900,000. We jumped from $160,000 (6 months performance) to $900,000 within one year. So exactly changed?

I am going to share 4 key tips on how you move from broken down mode to acceleration speed.

1) Set Outrageous Goals

Start your year by setting crazy and outrageous goals that scare you silly. Start the year with a big bang by setting goals that excite you and even if you have no idea on how you are going to do it, just do it. Take that goal and live and breathe it. Paste it everywhere and keep taking one step ahead and even without knowing it, you will be nearly there.

2) Focus On What Is Important

Last week, I was in Los Angeles attending Anne Mckevitt’s Business Evolution Summit Seminar and these are the key take-aways:

1) Take Risks in Your Business and Life

The wider your comfort zone, the more you will grow in business and life. Many people prefer to stay in their comfort zone because it feels comfortable and they do not have to feel stressed. However, it also means that your ability to live life is limited.

I remembering reading a quote: The minute you keep facing your fears is the minute you live your dream life. (I probably said it slightly wrong). And I chose to take activities that would scare me silly and force me to face fear. It helped me make crazy decisions, like quit my job and start my seminar business because I learned how to deal with that negative voice in my mind.

How can you get out of your comfort zone today and for the rest of your life? How can you choose to be uncomfortable to live your dream life?

2) Focus and Follow Through

Focus is the key killer of most business owners because many love to dabble in new things and get bored easily. Because of this characteristic, many business projects never get completed on time too. If you do any task, you need complete focus and a strict deadline. You need to set aside time and effort to finish the project quickly and also check that your vendors or staff have done it correctly.

Especially when you have a team, there is a tendency to assume that they will do it correctly for you. However, you need to double check and ensure that everything is done as desired.

Its a big problem that many people feel that if you want to follow your passion, you cannot make money. Which personally I find it sad because we can have it all, a business that you love and earn good money. It is time to shift your mindset and adopt a new paradigm about the possibilities. Many successful entrepreneurs shared about their business which they absolutely love and are multi-millionaires.

What is even more important about this is that you then become the beacon of hope to others that they can live their dream lives too. When a person is inspired, they can do the impossible. Then you uplift others in living their dream lives. Change occurs when you change yourself and inspire others, not by hoping to change others first without changing yourself.

Imagine a world full of people living their passion. Wouldn’t we be much happier, have less crime and happier families and relationships? It is time for you to start pursuing your dreams in a tiny tiny way. One tiny step ahead would amount to a lot over time.

If you want to up-level, you have to let go of your crap

Ali gave the example of reading in Oprah Magazine about a Lady who decide to leave her unhappy relationship finally. When she finally did it, lots of good things came into her life. She commented, it was as if God wouldn’t give her blessings until she let go of the crap in her life. I agree with it. If you are feeling unhappy about a relationship, job, friendship, etc, it is time to let go and move on because God will only allow blessings into your life once you take a decisive step to sever the negative activities from your life.

If you are feeling stuck, take tiny steps to move out of the uncomfortable situation. You need space to allow new better things into your life. Give it time and God will bring them into your life. We can only allow a specific amount of activities in our life and as long you do not let go of the negative, there is no space for the positive in your life. What can you let go today?

When everything is crumbling, you are ready for your next breakthrough

Everything in your life now is perfect, even though you are feeling the pits. Take a deep breath now. Know that you are taken care by God in any moment.

When “bad” situations occur, it is because God wants you to master a lesson to move up to the next level. Take a step back and analyze the situation and seek to understand what must improve to overcome this situation. Whenever my business takes a hit in anything, I know that we are ready to move up because we always learn something valuable from it.

We always sit together and analyze what is the issue. Then I relax and wait for a stronger message to appear, sometimes a mentor appears (it happens very often) or we come out with an amazing solution to rectify the situation. And my business always skyrockets to the next level. Life is simply a series of lessons for you to live your true potential.

On the other hand, many “bad” things could be occurring to move you to your rightful pathway in life. God is creating chaos for you to wake up for your zombie slumber to follow up, to stop tolerating life and really live your passion. My life was in complete chaos before I stepped into my true path of launching my online business and eventually becoming a speaker in It. When I looked back, it was as if my entire life was created for me to step into this path and some chaos had to occur for me to leave my corporate job and start my own business.

If you are feeling stressed and overwhelmed, stop worrying and become detached for a minute. Analyze what is the lesson here? What can you master to improve yourself? Or are you following your heart? If not, how can you start doing so?

For instance, I know a couple who spent a month in Vienna and the lady does coaching and because she was clear that she wanted to become mobile, she moved her clientele on skype and worked with them. She is also sharing her information online so that people can access it without having to be in person.

This planning was possible because she knew her end goal and she could build her business around her lifestyle goals.

With these key tips, you will be able to conceptualize, launch and execute a business that earns good money while being mobile at the same time. As they often say, many great businesses started with a seed and  I hope that I planted a seed of interest in you.
