Evaluating 2009
After spending some time in Madrid with my boyfriend, it’s time for the year reflections. 2009 has been an amazing roller coaster ride for me. It was a year full of ups and downs and eventually, the ride took off.
These have been my achievements for 2009:
- Hitting the $10,000 income mark
- Finally realizing my passive income dream by partnering with local businesses by sharing my expertise with them
- Launched consultancy business by sharing the experience of my local businesses
- Finally did my first marketing plan for 2010 and has a new business idea coming up
In April 2009, my boyfriend returned to Spain, Madrid and we made a promise to meet in September. With a new business that was making some profits, I was faced with the urgent need to make enough money to live comfortably in Spain by September.
In May, I met some business partners, expanded my businesses and corporate accounts started falling into my lap. Closed 6 corporate deals within 2 months and exceeded my income targets with the total income.
Lessons learned:
- When things seem terrible, hold on and settle your inner emotions. When your inner issues are sorted out, people and incidents will start to fall beautifully to achieve your goal
- Set an intention with a deadline as the universe will work out the details. Simply believe in yourself and work in the present.
- Succeed through leveraging. Tap into other people’s expertise or time to generate more business for yourself.
- Help people make money. When you solve people’s problems and help them generate income, you become rich.
- Do the best job. Set high expectations, deliver 101%. And you will be rewarded for your effort.
- Invest in yourself and learn from the best. Always learn from people who have succeeded in what you have aim to achieve and you will be there one day. Your expertise is your unique selling proposition so keep investing to upgrade your skills and knowledge.
