Achieving New Year Resolutions The Easy Way

Happy New Year! 2011 has arrived and I am so excited about welcoming the new year because we have massive plans in store for everyone.
When the new year starts, everyone HAS to plan their goals for 2011. This is an important element for my success because unless you know where you are heading, you will always be led by everyone’s else desires. Here are three easy tips to set and achieve your new year resolutions for 2011.
1) Be specific about your goals
When you set your goals, be clear and concise about what you want to achieve.
An example of a terrible goal – I want to earn more money in 2011.
When you are unclear about your goals, it is not a clear instruction to your subconscious. Be specific and set deadlines.
E.g. I want to earn $10,000 by June 2011 by increasing my business revenue 2 times by selling x amount of product.
When you are clear and specific, somehow you will start looking out for ways to achieve it because it seems real and tangible now.
2) Identify the sub-conscious blocks that keep recurring
People often search externally for answers when the answers are often inside of themselves. If you keep hitting a roadblock. Example is meeting nasty people at work or losing money in business. It is easy to blame your luck and people. However, have you wondered if it is yourself manifesting these people. Maybe you believe all people are evil and therefore keep attracting these people in your lives? If you do not drop that belief, the sad truth is that they will keep re-appearing for the rest of your life. Until you shift internally, then they will disappear.
Therefore, reflect on your past year and seek to realize any negative trends occurring over and over. If yes, seek a silent moment to reflect on your beliefs and seek to break from its hold. And watch things change swiftly.
3) Commit to work smart not hard
I often see people working harder and harder. Trying to change things by doubling their efforts, instead of taking a back seat to evaluate on how to improve the processes and learn to leverage. They say Craziness is trying to the same thing over and over, hoping that the results will change. Sorry, not possible. If you have been working harder and harder and do not see much improvement, its time to take a whole new different action.
Aim to learn how to leverage systems or technology to increase productivity and business performance. I recently had a team meeting where we brainstormed for ways to improve our marketing and service our students better. We came out with many good ideas and I am glad that we did it because I couldn’t have came out with such good ideas by myself. So I leveraged onto my staff skills and talents to improve the business.
Another tip is to use technology to optimize your operations by marketing more effectively or improve communications.
